Pastor Taras L.A. Hoy is a native of Yazoo City, Mississippi where he attended public schools until relocating to Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he graduated from Glen Oaks High School in 1986. It was then that he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He attended Louisiana State University for two years, but God had a different plan. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served honorably for 13 years.
Pastor Tracie was born in Alton, Illinois until her family moved to St. Charles, Missouri in 1981. She studied at International College of Ministry where she obtained her Doctorate in Ministry. An effective communicator of God’s word, Pastor Tracie is known for her “Make it Plain” teaching style which helps people understand and apply the truths of Scripture to their everyday lives.
Pastor Tracie began teaching and preaching under her Father’s ministry in 2016 where she served as a Praise and Worship leader and Sunday School teacher for several years. She then served as Pastor of Church of the Good Samaritans in Alton, Illinois with her husband serving as Assistant Pastor alongside her. Taras also served as a Sunday School teacher, Bible Study leader and was also a member of the Praise Team. In 2020, God called her and her husband to plant Beacon of Faith Fellowship. Pastors Taras and Tracie are both Veterans, parents to five children and proudly hold the title of Nina and Poppa to four grandchildren.
